Official opening date for school - Mystery

Our research so far has been unable to determine an official opening date in 1956 for Guildford West Public school . There is also no plaque which may have been of help. Does anyone know or know someone who might recall? Please share you ideas.

Celebrations commencing at 10.00am, full of entertainment and nostalgia. Cutting of the cake, morning tea and a picnic lunch will be available to enjoy in our fabulous school grounds.
